Last night was the finale of “The Biggest Loser”. I must admit that I had not been watching it up until last week and then I watched last night too. So, I saw just 2 episodes. Last night was pretty amazing and inspiring though! I think that every one of the contestants that lost weight were winners. They all won by changing their lives for the better by improving the quality of their lives.
I was surprised by the amount of weight that those people lost week by week. The guy who won lost something like 26 lbs. in one week and 157 lbs. overall in just 12 weeks. I suppose that they were obese and consuming a ton of calories before to maintain their obesity. By cutting calories and exercising so much it probably came off much quicker than seems logical. I mean while they were at the “ranch” isn’t that about all they were doing? Just exercising all day and then of course eating lower calorie meals? They had a doctor on staff that I’m sure must have made sure that they were safely losing the weight. It’s just that it would likely be much more difficult for someone to duplicate it at home! Especially since working out all day is a luxury that most of us cannot afford!
But even though it may take a bit longer at home, it can still be done. Watch the show for inspiration and stay on track with diet and exercise and the excess weight will come off!
Okay, next season I’m going to watch, the whole thing!
