10174Oprah claims to hate exercise. Even though she looks better than she has ever looked for as long as we have known her, and we know that she is committed to exercising and does it daily, she claims that she doesn’t enjoy it, in fact sometimes even hates it and she just does it because she must to manage her weight and protect her health.

Contrast that with other people I know who love exercise and are addicted. Yeah, I’m one of the lucky ones. I enjoy exercise, in fact I love exercising. I love the euphoria I feel when my heart rate gets elevated. I love the feeling of being able to lift that heavier weight. I love the feeling of strength. I love the endorphins afterward. I love feeling like I can run faster and jump higher just like when I was a kid. And I know I am not the only one. I have met many a gymrat that will not miss a workout and I know that they feel the same euphoria that I feel.

So I wonder, Why? Why does one person hate to exercise and the next love it? I know to each their own but our bodies were not designed to be couch potatoes, so why do some people hate to be active? Why do people hate to exercise and how do they overcome it?
