10039I loved riding my bike as a kid, pushing hard up a steep hill and turning around and just flying back down the hill, all the while trying to see how long I could go before I got to scared and used my brakes. It was a rush then and still as an adult it is a rush now.
I guess that is one reason that Spinning is one of my favorite cardio exercises. The exhilaration is incredible.

A Spin bike is completely different from the ordinary exercise bike you see at the gym or in your garage gathering dust. A spin bike is designed to simulate outdoor biking. The bike is equipped with a fly wheel that you can adjust the resistance on. Make the resistance higher and you are climbing the steep hill, with the resistance lower you are racing as fast as you can. It really is soooo much fun!

Another thing that is really great about Spinning is that everyone can go at their own pace. There is no competition. No one else in the class really knows how hard you are working since everyone is in charge of their own resistance. Of course, many in the class may pretend to be Lance Armstrong but no one really knows for sure. And Spinning can kick your butt-research shows that you can burn 400-500 calories in a 40 minute workout on average. Not bad, especially since you’re having so much fun!
