Twin Telepathy
In my part of the country, the news has been about the 4 year old conjoined twins that were surgically separated this week.
It took 26 hours of surgery for the separation and the news around here followed every second. It really was fascinating and those girls are just beautiful. It makes you grateful for the advances in medicine that can separate them into their own bodies.
But what I have found surprising is the “shock” that the media seems to be having about the connection between the two girls. The TV news reports and the newspapers have all written long stories about the twins telepathy and how surprising it is that they still seem connected. They are having similar spikes in blood pressure and each twin tries to intervene and protect the other when the doctors and nurses come around.
I would be more shocked if they didn’t have such telepathy. They were connected in one body for four years not to mention the time in the womb. Of course they have a telepathy and I’m sure that they will keep it for the remainder of their lives. Medical science just doesn’t explain everything and we all are more than just our bodies. Its all just part of the Magic of Life and it doesn’t need a medical explanation. It just is.
