What is it that creates change in our lives? In many cases, even most cases, it comes down to two things, either Inspiration or Perspiration.
In order to lose weight, become fit and healthy, to become lean and muscular, most would agree that it will take some “perspiration”. Exercising and sweating in an important component to a fit lifestyle. But do not discount the “inspiration” part.
Why do you want to get fit? Why do you want to lose weight? Is it to fit into your jeans? To live a long and healthy life? To have a body like the newest actress/actor, flavor of the month? Will someone post “fat” pictures of you all over the internet if you don’t get fit? The fear of imminent threat is a quite powerful motivator!
The point is if your reasons for getting fit are not more inspiring and motivating than that bag of potato chips you will run into difficulties. But if your reasons for losing weight, getting fit, accomplishing any goal, really, is more powerful than the reasons not to, you have already won the biggest share of the battle!
