Even though it never seems to be quite this simple the formula for weight loss is calories out must exceed calories in. In other words you must burn more calories than you eat. To make it simple that is the formula. Move more, eat less, eat less, move more. Easy, really (not).

Well, if you need more help in this area you can get a “Fitbug” . A unique, interactive pedometer that lets you know how many calories you are burning and lets you chart your progress online and adjust your nutritional needs as necessary.

Like a regular pedometer, it counts the steps you take but this one apparently also computes how calories have been burned. It doesn’t say if there is a difference for slower metabolisms or faster metabolisms or not. But of course that would make it so much more complicated and the simple formula would just not be so simple anymore!

But it’s a new gadget to try. It may work wonders. Even if it just motivates you to park farther away from the grocery store door in order to get more steps in, it will help.

If you have tried it, we would love to hear your comments. If you do try it, we would love to hear your comments.

Thanks for the comments. I”m the Fitbug marketing director and would like to know who to thank.

I do not want to fill your pages with my sales material, but I do have some very good support for why Fitbug is becoming so popular.

    Contact me: Dennis Skigen, 847-963-0333, x 32 or 312-927-6994.

    Again, thanks

I’ve had my ‘bug for over 6 months now and it’s fantastic… My exercise has steadily increased as a direct result of the motivation of my FitBug. The ‘bug lets me see how much exercise I’ve done that day, but what really makes the difference is the website where I can see how my exercise profile changed hour-by-hour throughout the day and where I can also “compete” in virtual leagues with other people. Fantastic product.
