Fitness Equipment
It’s that time of year again. Time when all kinds of fitness equipment goes on sale. If you are thinking of purchasing some kind of fitness equipment, right now and into January is when the best sales are on.
The manufacturers take advantage of the “New Years Resolution” phenomenon. Many of us tend to set New Years resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, get healthy finally. So of course, its prime time to buy a new treadmill or elliptical machine, exercise bike whatever!
Well to prevent your new fitness equipment from becoming an expensive place to hang your clothes, some thought needs to go into your purchases. Is the equipment you are thinking of buying something that you like and will use regularly? Would you be happier exercising at home or would you prefer to go to a gym? You know a good gym will already have the equipment and you can try everything out before you buy it! Maybe a gym membership is a better use of your money. Maybe not.
Maybe some workout dvd’s and an exercise ball would be something you would use. Try to rent some workout dvd’s first and see if you would like them or borrow them from a friend.
Whatever kind of equipment you get, try it before you buy it. I had a rowing machine once that made such an awful noise every time you used it that I hated it and would not use it. I ended up selling it because it was just getting dusty, taking up space and never getting used! And then there are fitness equipment trends, remember the “health rider” (not the treadmill that they make now but the “rider”) Haven’t seen those around for years. Lots of people wasted money on those!
There are millions of different pieces of equipment that you can buy in the name of fitness. Be a savvy shopper and make sure that you will like it and use it before you spend your hard-earned.
